  2. The most important point that I found out is highlighted in this blog is that we are an independent
nation now we need to think about its development. Our national leaders who have done their duty
and gave sacrifices for our country. Now its our duty to make this country worth living where people
actually can live freely. The level of change that we can bring now is on individual level. Other
    important topics are as follow
    1. Boycott Congress
    2. Separate electorate
    3. Muhammaden Educational Complex
    4. What was special about first phase {1887-1906}
    a. Electoral representation {Syed Mehmood}
    b. Sir Syed’s death
    c. New Century ……New leaders
In 1887, 1897 and 1902 some British colonies get a chance to consult. This idea became popular in
UK. Among some European scholars, the idea that new and heightened ideas are created by some
people and then they reach the masses. In this sense, counseling was a futile thing or its usefulness
was very limited and there was no room for spiritual equality. The issue of British society that trendsof good and evil were simultaneously gaining importance. The issue of british society was gaining
importance. The solution to this problem was hidden in the film “Sherlock Holmes” by “Dr. Jekyll
and Mr. Hyde”. Holmes believe that
“When you exclude the impossible from any situation, whatever is left is the truth, no matter
    how far-fetched it may seem”
In 1887, Sir Syed advised Muslims not to join Indian National Congress. The Muhammadan
Educational Conference was his nationwide organization, but a network of similar organizations and
educational institutions sprang up on a small scale throughout India. Nawab Mohsin ul Mulk later
on the successor of Sir Syed, in 1893, in an address cited the incident of Adam and Eve, when they ate
prohibited grain in heaven, they became aware of their modesty.
Sir Syed died in 1898 after that Urdu Hindi conflict again appeared but Muslim leaders forcefullu
deal with it. In new history new leaders Quaid-e-Azam, Allama Iqbal appeared. In 1906 Muslim
League a Muslim representation party was established.

  4. This blog is very good for learning from history and increasing our knowledge regarding our great leaders. The first point that I learnt from this blog is that if we want to become a great nation then we should remember our heroes and also learn from their experiences. The great leaders like Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, Mohsin-ul-Mulk, Syed Mahmood, Allama Iqbal, Nawab Saleemullah did work selflessly for their nation and achieve success. The second point is that we should not depend only on appearance but also have a urge to find out truth from depth. And the third point that I learnt from the blog is that where western education proves harmful for Muslim nation at the same time plays a great role in unity of Hindu nation

  5. You would come actoss many people in your life who at times would save you from somebody’s wrath but very few who would then be concerned about your well being and then put you on the right path.Sir Syed Ahmed Khan and Allama Iqbal were one of them.Sir Syed was first muslim leader who pronounced Hindus and Muslims were two different communities with different interests.Iqbal’s poetry gave the message of reconstruction and creative thinking. One impotant thing that i have read in this blog is that decision always depends upon the nation means what they really wanted but it necessary to guide them. Our national leaders who have made many sacrificies have done their job.Now its our responsibility to imrove the condition of our country.

  6. .The blog was super informative and useful The way they have put light on the background/history is worth appreciating. All our heroes Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, Sir Syed Ahmed Khan, Allama Iqbal, Maulana Zafar Ali Khan etc did untiring efforts for the establishment of Pakistan. Pakistan wasn’t achieved easily. Sir Syed Ahmed Khan’s contribution in the education sector was the biggest and most required step towards progress. His famous writing on the causes of Indian Revolt in the treatise helped alot in diminishing the huge milestone for Indian Muslims to gain back their lost honor. Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah and all are heroes did day and night efforts which bore fruit in the form of Pakistan – a independent Muslim state.

  7. After reading this blog, I have learned that the progress of a nation is not only possible by the efforts of our leader instead each and every individual have to do efforts for it. And it is not possible without education. Thats why Sir Syed Ahmed Khan wanted to educate Muslims. Sir Syed Ahmed Khan, Quaid e Azam, Allama iqbal and many other leaders helped and guided Muslims to raise their voice against the violence they are facing in Subcontinen. Because of the efforts of our leader we are living in an independent country. We should struggle for the development of our country by remembering the efforts of our leader.

  8. This blog encompasses the most important point is that one nation needs some kind of leadership. Our leaders like Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Allama Muhammad Iqbal, Sir Syed Ahmed khan, Nawab Mohsin Ul Mulk and many other diligent and assiduous leaders was staunch advocate of Muslim’s prosperity and they do not lost hearts in the adverse circumstances and worked hard for development of their nation. For instance, Sir Syed Ahmed khan worked hard for the education of Muslims because he knew that Muslim couldn’t work alongside the Hindu without education. So, our current leaders and politicians should respect their sacrifices for their nation and work with honesty for the sustainability of their nation. “چُن لیا میں نے تمہیں، سارا جہاں رہنے دیا” author mentioned the example of this beautiful and romantic song. Here this song meaning is that one diligent, steadfast and sincere leader chose hardwork for the prosperity of his nation rather than other luxurious living. Conclusion is that one diligent and intellectual leader inspires his nation to do what they though they couldn’t do.

  9. The most important thing which i learnt from this blog is that every nation is built by the efforts of their leaders and the people. So we better look upto our leaders and do whatever they say is important in order to build a nation. Such as in building pakistan sir syed ahmed khan, through his Aligarh movement mostly and Allama iqbal through his poetry made our ways clear. Also muslim league also played a great role. So we always look.upto our leaders.

  13. After reading this long article, I will go on to form my opinion later on the statement, that the geography of a nation that forgets its true history, will be changed. If a nation is to be enslaved from generation to generation, then take his history away from him. Freedom cannot be achieved so easily. Behind this, there is a long struggle, step by step, which involves the blood of the young sons of the mothers, the abuse of many young girls, and the cries of their children etc. It is important to consider that the will of the nation should be involved in achieving any goal at national level. Freedom is not the only goal, freedom means that you have got rid of slavery, oppression, poverty, ignorance, materialism, and a society that is just. This is possible only when the nation is aware. Because the war of consciousness is more dangerous than the atomic bomb. Consciousness is related to knowledge and knowledge is related to awareness.
The one who walks on the straight path, if he walks on the same path, will undoubtedly reach his destination. Promoting this philosophy, the demand for a separate electoral system, the implementation of Devanagari in place of Urdu in UP, the partition of Bengal and the formation of the Muslim League are all very important events and it is difficult for me to determine the most important thing.

  14. In my opinion, the highlight of this blog was the social and political awakening of the Muslim nation as a whole. It was evident that self-doubt had started to grow and develop in the Muslims all because of English education. They had started thinking lowly of themselves and their nation. They were being manipulated by the Hindus and the British without them even realizing it. They were on the road to ultimate doom because they were forgetting their true identity. It had become the need of the hour to remind the Muslims of their
.worth, otherwise they would be vanished as a nation altogether. Under the guidance of many leaders ,the Muslims finally asked for separate representation in politics. This was the first step in the right direction

  15. it was a roller coaster ride of solstice. every turn gave me a reason to cherish the life i am living, admitting the power Allah has bestowed human for his own betterment. the important certainty according to me is the ability to act on what a person believes
on. i will support my statement with the help of quote; “Words without actions are the assassins of idealism”. Nawab Mohsin ul Mulk and Sir Syed Ahmad Khan actually made the first move. the step forward to make their words a reality. otherwise the idea having a separate identity struck many of the scholars and ideologists of that timof e.

  16. After reading this blog the conclusion is that instead of setting a goal for oneself, one should ask the nation what it wants. Because the intentions of the nation are related to life. But I don’t think the nation can make a decision on its own unless it has consciousness. So a good leader has an important role to play in shaping the nation and then in making decisions. It enables him to think for himself, good or bad, as Sir Syed pointed out. Then Iqbal gave the address of the destination and Quaid delivered it to the destination. Now that the destination has been found, it should be our goal in life to maintain that destination.
And Understanding Iqbal’s poetry and words is not an easy task. But thanks for including Fayyaz Hashmi’s simple poetry to understand this. On the one hand, a little bit of music was created in this writing that created an attraction for the readers.

  21. In this blog mentioned that behind all the decisions that made by sir syed there must be a public opinion to know. They do not setting their own goals but remember tge public opinion. The true leader is who listen others and then made decision. The basic events highlited in this blog is basically the identity of muslims league is protected and interest of nation where muslim can set as demand and stand opposite to the division of bengal. Muslims have their alarmed sutuation about political democracy. And in this blog the poetry of Allama Muhammad Iqbal stand the muslim to the next level.

The most important events in this episode are that Muslims should have a right to vote and elect their representatives this principle is called the separate electorate. Second, the partition of Bengal. Third, the Muslim League was formed. The main problem that Muslims of the subcontinent were facing was that the replacement of Urdu Language with Hindi and western education because as have already seen that unity of Hindus with Britain government started because of English because western education has promoted an unrealistic attitude towards history.
In addition, I think that guidance and consultation are the main keys that lead to the success of a nation. If a nation wants to achieve something, they can easily achieve it but some great leaders should guide them. Besides, the love of the nation means that to seek what your nation wants to achieve and then work for it. The will and intentions of the nation are related to the deep secret of life. A true leader is who guides his nation, they all became so powerful, and then that is the point where they make the right decisions. Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, Syed Mahmood, Mohsin-ul-Mulk, Allama Iqbal were all great leader and they all guided Muslims in the nick of time and when they were failing but these leaders got to know what Muslims wanted and guided them accordingly. We can also saw the example from a blog that told that consultation is very necessary for bringing people together as in the annual meeting of Muhammadan Educational Conference where Muslims from different areas came all the way and with the same idea. Muslim nation was awakening and it was the spirit of the nation that spoke to the Muslims at that hard time. Those nations are meant to be alive which don’t forget the sacrifices of their ancestors.

  23. In my opinion, the most important thing mentioned in this blog is how a nation is built by the efforts of every individual. Modern education for every individual was important to have an opinion. That’s why, Sir Syed Ahmad Khan wanted all the Muslims to educate themselves in order to compete with Hindus and British. Also, he wanted to aware all Muslims so that they would be able to work for the betterment of their nation. The Muslims of sub-continent followed him. Sir Syed Ahmed khan established Muhammadan Educational Conference in order to bring political awareness among the Muslims. Later an example was set by Allama Iqbal and other Muslims leaders by working together with their nation. Our leaders in the past became voice of the Muslims and worked together for a separate homeland.
A great example was set by our leaders in the past. They guided all the Muslims in sub-continent and raised their voice against oppression. It is the duty of a leader to educate his people and bring them together on a single platform.

After reading this blog I understood that we should respect our nation needs and we should prioritize them. If we have a unity then we can proceed towards success. The other most important point that I understood is that our great leaders sacrifice their lifes just to provide freedom to their nation so we should do some productive for our country. Sir Syed Ahmad Khan one of the greatest leader did struggle for our nation they gave us awareness about education and they provided facilities for our education and they prepared us for participation in political parties in future by getting education. Allama Iqbal was also a great leader in history that showed us the path towards right. He was a great leader that gave the idea of separate country and they motivated their nation by their poetry . He writes many books and poems for their nation. The one more important point that I understood in this blog is that our those leaders who sacrifice their life for their nation are not mentioned in our books e.g. Syed Mehmood who was a great leader and he did lots of works for their nation. So we should remember their sacrifice and we should not forget them and we should follow them to get success. At last this blog is very informative and through this blog I learnt much about history.

    1. ,In my opinion, the important thing is that change can be brought individually and the real meaning of freedom is the society without fear and poverty And the important factor is that like an individual a nation also goes through various stages of development In this blog the first phase between 1887-1906 has been explained in which they commit many mistakes and learn through them Another important lesson is that Syed Mahmood introduced the term separate electorate which is the main principle in human history but unfortunately our nation does not know his name Morever Sir Syed established Mahommadan educational confrence to educate people about political situation in subcontinent First of all a leader needs to understand the requirements of nation and then work according to that All of our leader were dictator of this message and they all raise voice for Muslim in the past

  25. The thing i have learnt from the blog is that a good leadership and a good leader always guide the way for his people The likes of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan, Mohsin Ul Mulk and other likes Allama Iqbal lead the Muslims of the subcontinent to glory. Probably the one they never accepted. And the other thing is that a nation has to be unite to achieve what their leader is guiding them to. We must not forget our heroes whom sacrifises were vital for our safe and sound future. I will conclude my response by these word of Mohsin Ul Mulk
He said either there are Prophets or Nations to reach at any destination Allah has set different steps. Their essays become their destinations by passing through different hardships.

  26. After reading this blog, i concluded that it is important for leaders and people to work to achieve certain goals also it is the responsibility of leaders to aware and educate the nation. Sir Syed Ahmed Khan, Quaid e Azam, Allama Iqbal and many other leaders helped and guided Muslims to raise their voices against the violence they were facing in Subcontinen. Sir Syed started Aligarh movement so that Muslims have a platform where they could unite and could stand for their rights. He also insisted Muslims to get modern education so they could compete with Hindus and British to regain their lost status. Leaders guided
.and helped Muslims to get a separate state and a great example was set by them

The question was that , what was the most important point in this blog?
In my point of view the great leaders build a great nation like sir Syed Ahmed Khan ,allama Iqbal and other leaders.
The poets like allama Iqbal are the milestones for the nation because their peotry played an important role to create awareness in the population. Because of their efforts , now we are living in an independent country and this was the important point in the blog which I understood. We should learn to respect other people and this was the point of the blog.We should remember their efforts and should tell their stories to next generation.

  29. After reading this blog i have understand
one thing clearly that no nation can rise to glory without a great and intellectual leader because he is the one who has ability to pass his wisdom and intellect to his nation. He can change the destiny of his his nation.Great nations always remember the sacrifices of its leader and mentors. Otherwise they would lost their worth and would lag behind. But unfortunately, we have failed to follow and value our heroes, who had sacrificed their lives for freedom.
Secondly, few important events(1887-1906) are discussed in this blog i. e. Boycott of Congress, Elections, Muhammadan Educational Confress and formation Muslim League. Sir Syed Ahmad Kan was one such leader who had worked hard for Muslims. We need more leaders like him to get our identity back.

  30. There are so many facets to history that we can’t take anything as a fact. Infact, history is molded to the extent that it has become quite impossible to establish with conviction what might actually have happened at a particular time in history. The best approach would be to treat every scoop of past with skepticism, dedicate your whole life for studying exactly different narratives and then deduce results on the basis of mere observations. As what I have gathered from this blog is that the writer has thrown a pretty straightforward question our way ; what’s the true meaning of independence? Throughout this post, he has narrated different incidents in the history of subcontinent and has interpretated them according to his understanding and study of history. The best thing about it is the way he reached the conclusion about the plight of muslims. His thorough analysis reveals that the essence of muslim demand for a separate nation was the idea of a state free from fear and poverty as was the motive of Sir Syed. The problem with the electorate system of subcontinent was the same as with the democracy ; what should be the qualification and status of people who should be allowed to vote?. And as Syed Mehmood said that representation means to represent those who gave you the very right for their representation and how could muslims be represented when they couldn’t even choose the ones representating them? The era 1887-1906 was the period of the political awakening of the muslims of the subcontinent when they realized that to uphold a respectable status in society they must do something to make their voices heard. That’s when All India Muslim League made its appearance and the rest we know is history. But this blog has triggered me to question the role of British in all of this fiasco. It seems like the main players who cultivated hatred among Muslims and Hindus got away so conveniently leaving us to figure out if there’s anything as a ‘true history’ ? In a nutshell, Khurram Shafique establishes that a nation chooses its path on its own without any outside intervention. In our case, we had many disruptive interferences from the British because even our history is dictated by them, though it’s up to debate as to why we failed in documenting and preaching our own history…

  33. According to my point of view it is mentioned in the blog that we should learn to reverence our people. It is very consequential that the will of the nation must be involved in achieving any goal. But this is possible only when a good bellwether can guide his nation in the right way.0ne of the thing I felt after reading the blog is that we muslims have b forgotten the back behind forces thatn helped us in gaining a separate country. My favouite part of the blog is that it gives the idea of that we should ask the nation what it wants. Because the will of the nation does not arise from any tenable argument, nor does it involve any kind of sentimentality. The will of the nation and the intentions of the nation are cognate to the deep secret we call life As presented during the independence kineticism. In the sundry stages to come, Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, Syed Mahmood, Mohsin-ul-Mulk, Allama Iqbal and other Muslim dignitaries guided the Muslims and kept them aroused against their failures and conspiracies. Sacrificed lives and many great Muslims in the background of this liberation . Many such unsung heroes whom we have forgotten like Syed Mehmood, son of Sir Syed, who addressed the quandary of lack of true muslim representation in politics. It is quite true what Allam Iqbal verbally expressed ,that a nation is alive only when it does not forget its dead , and haplessly we have forgotten our heroes. Another thing I like in this blog is At the cessation of the twentieth session of the Muhammadan Eductional Conference, which was held in Dhaka in December 1906, Nawab Saleemullah Khan of Dhaka, while presenting a resolution for the establishment of the All India Muslim League he said Those who have studied our situation in more depth will see this new movement not as a new beginning but as a turning point. Just last evening we finished the twentieth session of our Educational Conference, and if the earlier efforts of the late Sir Syed Ahmad Khan are taken into account, our action at this time is a natural phase of that work which is almost Launched half a century .

  34. The most important events described in Blog “Secrets of life”.
At the beginning of this episode, Sir Syed was given the title “Sir”. In my opinion, the period 1887-1906 formed the basis of separation of Hindus and Muslims. This period is not much described in our Pakistan Study books.
Other important topics are as follows
    1. spurn of Congress
    2. Separate electorates
    3. Muhammadan Educational Complex
    4. Period of (1887-1906) importance
    a. Electoral representation (Syed Mahmud)
    b. Sir Syed’s death
    c. New leaders
Sir syed urge the Muslims to reject congress:
Congress was formed in 1885. According to Congress leaders, Congress was established to represent all nations of India. The real reason for its establishment was to make India one unit but the reality was contrary to it. While explaining their narrative, they said that British education has taught them to live together in India. It was clear that the real reason behind the hatred and enmity between Hindus and Muslims was the education given to Hindus by the British. But the wise leaders of Muslims could see the hypocrisy of Hindus when they proposed the idea of making India one unit. Hindus knew that the Muslim majority was not much educated at that time and they knew that the uneducated Muslims will never be able to compete with educated Hindus and eventually they will become Hindu slaves and then Hindus will rule them all. When Sir Syed Ahmad Khan was titled as “Sir” in 1887, he was well aware of the whole situation and carefully led the mobs of uneducated Muslims nation. He asked the Muslims to boycott Congress.
    Separate Electorates system:
    In response to the boycott, the Congress leaders got angry and put pressure on the government, which Sir Syed Ahmed Khan considered very useless. He said;
“This kind of ignition that first started in the United States and as a result, the last word that came out of their mouths was ‘no taxation without representation?’ so those who have the power to say the word should participate in the ignition of this Congress, otherwise they are to be applauded like hedgehogs.”
The Muslims who were not much supportive of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan before also supported him in this matter. So, the next 20 years were spent focusing on the education and development of the Muslims of the sub-continent.
    Muhammadan Educational complex:
It was a time in history when other Muslim leaders also joined Sir Syed Ahmad Khan in his efforts. While addressing in a nationwide conference of Muhammadan educational complex in 1892, Maulvi Heshmat Ullah metaphorically links the Muslims with a wall of bricks. The condition of the wall is the same as the condition of its all units. The same is the case of a nation. Because of this educational complex, many schools were established in different areas of India for Muslims. Nawab Mohsin-ul-Mulk also rendered remarkable educational services. In1893, Nawab Mohsin- ul-Mulkin his address cited the incident of Adam and Eve that when they ate the grain in heaven that Allah has prohibited, they became aware of their modesty. He explained that it was a new start for all of the Muslims of India as the Muslims in the sub-continent were getting an education now and they were becoming more aware of their dignity.
    Electoral representation:
The national Indian congress demanded the right for the elite Hindus to elect their representatives. In 1892, their demand was accepted when the Indian national council Act came in force but the word “election” was not used. The right to choose representative was only given to property holders, universities, and local bodies. Muslims realized that this Law had not given them the right to elect their representatives. Syed Mahmood answered it in a memorandum to the British government.
“The real purpose of electing representative is to represent the electorate. There is plenty to choose from the Hindu lobby. In this way, it is difficult for Muslims to choose a representative who has similar ideas with them. Muslims should have the right to choose a separate representative who has exactly or almost similar ideas. Muslims so know their hypothetical lawyers.”
    Sir Syed death:
Sir Syed died in 1898 after that Urdu Hindi controversy again appeared but Muslim leaders dealt with it. In1899, in a meeting of the educational complex, in Calcutta, it was addressed that a new century is about to start. In the next century, new leaders like Quaid-e-Azam, Allama Iqbal appeared. In 1906, the Muslim League, a Muslim representation party was established.
In this blog, “secrets o life” many important events are explained, which are not discussed earlier in books. The seed of hatred had been raised in the period of 1887 to 1906 between two communities. The flaws of educational system of British
gave rise to hatred and conflict.

  35. Question
What do you think is the most important in the blog “The Secrets of Life”?
    Answer
This blog has many important things which are described in it. In start it says that Pakistan has became independent, now we need to think about its development and success. I have found that we as citizens are striving for the betterment of the country in every way. But there is a need for positive change in political affairs and politicians. Our national leaders who have made many sacrifices for Pakistan have done their job. Now what needs to be done is to improve the conditions of this country and the real meaning of freedom is to make people live. The level of change that needs to be made is on individual level because each of us needs to make a change in ourselves so that we can learn to respect our people. In 1887, 1897 and 1902 some British colonies get a chance to consult. This idea became popular in UK. Among some European scholars, the idea that new and heightened ideas are created by some people and then they reach the masses. In this sense, counseling was a futile thing or its usefulness was very limited and there was no room for spiritual equality. The issue of British society that trends of good and evil were simultaneously gaining importance. The solution to this problem was hidden in the film “Sherlock Holmes” by “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde”. Holmes believe that
“When you exclude the impossible from any situation, whatever is left is the truth, no matter how far-fetched it may seem.”
“The liver of a leopard is needed, the curiosity of kings, can live without light, wisdom and culture.”
In 1887, Sir Syed advised Muslims not to join Indian National Congress. One reason was that there was still a lot of anger and suspicion in the hearts of the British and the Muslims. The second reason was that the demands put forward by the Congress were not in the interest of the Muslims.
The Muhammadan Educational Conference was his nationwide organization, but a network of similar organizations and educational institutions sprang up on a small scale throughout India. He was usually in contact with the Muhammadan Educational Conference. The annual gatherings of the conference, which took place in different cities, really did a great job of bringing the Muslims of entire region close to each other. So according to Mohsin-ul Mulk, the journey that the nation started in their time has continued till this stage. He and his successors also pointed out the different stages of this journey. This was a new beginning for Mohsin-ul Mulk.
The national Indian congress demanded the right for the elite Hindus to elect their representatives. There demand was accepted in 1892 when Indian national council Act came in force, but the word “election” was not used. The right to choose representative was limited to property holders, universities and local bodies.
Muslim felt that Law had not given them the right to choose their representative. An answer to that was given by Syed Mehmood in a memorandum to British government.
“the real purpose of electing representative is to represent the electorate. There are plenty to choose from Hindu lobby. In this way, it is difficult for Muslims to chose representative who have similar ideas with them. Muslim should have right to choose separate representative who have exactly or almost similar ideas. Muslims so know their hypothetical lawyers.”
It is a great negligence, Name of Syed Mehmood is not even mention in our Pak Study books.
Sir Syed died in 1898 after that Urdu Hindi conflict again appeared but Muslim leaders forcefully deal with it. In 1899 in a meeting of educational complex, in Calcutta, I was addressed that a new century is about to start. This century should be a milestone in the Muslim history. In new history new leaders Quaid-e-Azam, Allama Iqbal appeared. In 1906 Muslim League a Muslim representation party was established.
In this episode many important events are explain, which are not present in Pak study books.

  36. The most important thing according to me is that the base for the separation of the Hindus and the Muslims was created in the period of 1887-1906. Other important topics are as follow.
    1. Rejecting Congress
    2. Separate Constituency
    3. Muhammaden Educational Complex
    4. Important facts about first phase (1887-1906)
    a. Electoral representation (Syed Mehmood)
    b. Sir Syed’s death
    c. New Era. (New leaders)
    • Rejecting Congress:
In 1885 Congress was established. According to Congress leaders, it talked about all nations in India. However, reality was completely opposed. In fact, it was apparent that the hatred and discrimination between the Hindus and the Muslims were the harmful consequences of the education provided by British to the Hindus. They knew that Muslims were not educated, and if everything controlled by the Hindus that time, generations of the Muslims would not be able to compete with the Hindus in education and government sectors.
Sir Syed Ahmad Khan was given title sir in 1887. He was aware of the whole situation and carefully educating the mobs of uneducated Muslims nation. He requested Muslims to reject Congress. One reason was that there was still a lot of anger and harsh feelings in the hearts of British because of 1857.
    In response of the rejection, the Congress resorted to blame to put pressure on the government, which sir Syed considered very baseless. He said;
“This kind of ignition that first started in the United States and as a result the last word that came out of their mouths was ‘no taxation without representation?’
    Muhammaden Educational complex
It was a time in history were other Muslim leaders appear came up with Sir Syed Ahmad khan.
In 1892 while addressing in a nationwide conference of Muhammaden educational complex, Maulvi Heshmat Ullah metaphorically link the Muslims with a wall which is made up of bricks.
In an address in 1893, Mohsin ul Mulk said:
“Whether prophet or reformer of the nation, God has made it a rule for everyone that their inner selves have to go through many stages to reach their destination; I cannot hope to see the result of those who ae not patient.”

Nawab Mohsin ul Mulk later on the replacement of Sir Syed, in 1893, in an address quoted the incident of Adam and Eve, when they ate disallowed grain in heaven, they became aware of their humility. Muslims in sub-continent were getting education and becoming aware of their dignity, status and well-being. According to him it was a new beginning.
    o Constituency representation:
The national Indian congress demanded the right for the elite Hindus to elect their representatives. There demand was accepted in 1892 when Indian national council Act came in force, but the word “Election” was not used. An answer to that was given by Syed Mahmood in a memorandum to British government.
“The real purpose of electing representative is to represent the electorate. There are plenty to choose from Hindu lobby. In this way, it is difficult for Muslims to choose representative who have similar ideas with them.”

Sir Syed died in 1898 after that Urdu Hindi conflict again appeared but Muslim leaders forcefully deal with it. In 1899 in a meeting of educational complex, in Calcutta, I was addressed that a new century is about to start. In new history new leaders Quaid-e-Azam, Allama Iqbal appeared. In 1906 Muslim League a Muslim representation party was established.

    RESPONSE TO BLOG 3
    BSM SEMESTER 2
    SUBMITTED TO; MAM BUSHRA
    SUBMITTEDBY; HIRRT BATOOL
    ROLLNO.; BSM-19-41

    Question;
What do you think is the most important thing in today’s episode?
    Answer;
This episode starts with an event in which sir Syed was titled as “Sir”. The most important thing according to me is that the base for the separation of the Hindus and the Muslims was created in the period of 1887-1906. This period is usually not discussed in our Pakistan Study books. Other important topics are as follow
    1. Boycott Congress
    2. Separate electorate
    3. Muhammaden Educational Complex
    4. What was special about first phase {1887-1906}
    a. Electoral representation {Syed Mehmood}
    b. Sir Syed’s death
    c. New Century ……New leaders
    • Boycott Congress
In 1885 Congress was established. According to Congress leaders, it talked about all nations in India. However, reality was entirely different. The most obnoxious motive of this party was that the sub-continent should remain as a unit. They cited that the education provided by British government taught them to live together. In fact, it was crystal clear that the hatred and discrimination between the Hindus and the Muslims were the harmful consequences of the education provided by British to the Hindus. Every person with broader vision can understand the self-interests of Hindus behind their demand of India as a unit. They knew that Muslims were not educated, and if everything controlled by the Hindus that time, generations of the Muslims would not be able to compete with the Hindus in education and government sectors. Eventually the Muslims would become Hindus’ slaves and the Hindus would rule in India.
Sir Syed Ahmad Khan was tilted as sir in 1887. He was aware of the whole situation and carefully guiding the mobs of uneducated Muslims nation. He requested Muslims to boycott Congress. One reason was that there was still a lot of anger and suspicion in the hearts of British because of 1857.
    • Separate Electorate
    In response of the boycott, the Congress resorted to agitation to put pressure on the government, which sir Syed considered very futile. He said;
“This kind of ignition that first started in the United States and as a result the last word that came out of their mouths was ‘no taxation without representation?’ so those who have the power to say the word should participate in the ignition of this Congress, otherwise they are to be applauded like hedgehogs. “
When the Muslims who were against him in previous cases, supported him in this matter. So, the next 20 years were spent focusing on the education and development of the Muslims and on uniting the cultural forces.
    • Muhammaden Educational complex
It was a time in history were other Muslim leaders appear along with Sir Syed Ahmad khan.
In 1892 while addressing in a nationwide conference of Muhammaden educational complex, Maulvi Heshmat Ullah metaphorically link the Muslims with a wall which is made up of bricks. The condition of wall is the condition of its all units and bricks pass through phases with wall. Same is the case of a nation. It passes through phases of changes with its individuals. Because of this educational complex many schools sprang up in different areas of India for Muslims. Nawab Mohsin ul Mulk also rendered remarkable services in this regard.
    In an address in 1893, Mohsin ul Mulk said;
“Whether prophet or reformer of the nation, God has made it a rule for everyone that their inner selves have to go through many stages to reach their destination; I cannot hope to see the result of those who ae not patient.”
    • First phase {1887-1906}
Nawab Mohsin ul Mulk later on the successor of Sir Syed, in 1893, in an address cited the incident of Adam and Eve, when they ate prohibited grain in heaven, they became aware of their modesty. Muslims in sub-continent were getting education and becoming aware of their dignity, status and well-being. According to him it was a new beginning
    o Electoral representation
The national Indian congress demanded the right for the elite Hindus to elect their representatives. There demand was accepted in 1892 when Indian national council Act came in force, but the word “election” was not used. The right to choose representative was limited to property holders, universities and local bodies.
Muslim felt that Law had not given them the right to choose their representative. An answer to that was given by Syed Mahmood in a memorandum to British government.
“the real purpose of electing representative is to represent the electorate. There are plenty to choose from Hindu lobby. In this way, it is difficult for Muslims to chose representative who have similar ideas with them. Muslim should have right to choose separate representative who have exactly or almost similar ideas. Muslims so know their hypothetical lawyers.”
It is a great negligence, Name of Syed Mehmood is not even mention in our Pak Study books.
    o Sir Syed died
Sir Syed died in 1898 after that Urdu Hindi conflict again appeared but Muslim leaders forcefully deal with it. In 1899 in a meeting of educational complex, in Calcutta, I was addressed that a new century is about to start. This century should be a milestone in the Muslim history. In new history new leaders Quaid-e-Azam, Allama Iqbal appeared. In 1906 Muslim League a Muslim representation party was established.
In this episode many important events are explain, which are not present in Pak study books.

  40. As was mentioned in the blog that we should learn to respect our people, this idea was for me the crux of this blog. Many such unsung heroes whom we have forgotten like Syed Mehmood, son of Sir Syed, who addressed the problem of lack of true muslim representation in politics. We should remember their efforts and transmit their stories to next generations. It is quite true what Allam Iqbal said ,that a nation is alive only when it does not forget its dead , and unfortunately we have forgotten our heroes.
In addition to all this, I really found the idea of Mohsin ul Mulk quite thought provoking, when he said that Hazrat Adam (A.S) became aware of right and wrong when he tasted the fruit from the forbidden tree and thus in a similar way muslims became aware of their declining situation when they got access to the once forbidden education. Thus, this idea really opened a new window in my mind because what I knew was that eating that forbidden fruit was a mistake while in reality it was all according to the plan through which we were enlightened about the difference between right and wrong.

    1. On 3 June 1947, it was announced that a separate state has come into being. Muslims of Sub continent immigrated toward Pakistan. Almost 70 Lac Muslims were martyred during this migration by Hindus and Sikhs. Millions of women were raped, were brutally attacked by Hindus and Sikhs. This immortal sacrifice of Muslims of Sub continent put a big question mark on the freedom of Muslims of today in Pakistan. Muslims have gotten freedom geographically or physically but mentally or psychologically they are slaves of British and their system. Pakistan has achieved its freedom but now how Pakistanis as a nation can get their true freedom and how they can join the path of progress. No doubt, many Pakistanis are trying their best, working honestly and think about their country but the need of the hour is to bring optimistic change in political affairs and politicians. Our National heroes have done their responsibility now it is our turn to transform our heroes’ dreams into reality and to make this country a better place to live in. The actual meaning of freedom is the removal of poverty and fear from any society. This is the most important thing which I have found in this blog.
      CHANGE AT INDIVIDUAL LEVEL
How a society can reform into a welfare state? How poverty, fear, dishonesty and hate can be remove from a society to make it free in a real sense. So, there is need of redemptive change, an individual has to change himself/herself to change the society.
EDUCATION SYSTEM AND SENSE OF INFERIORITY
We Pakistanis are actually production of such an education system which has made us inferior before our own eyes and viewpoints. So, there is a need of entire change at individual level so that we will be able to respect our country and our people
      FIAZ HASHMI’S MILLI SONG
In 1966, SHABNAM, a Pakistani film was released in which MADAM NOOR JAHAN sung a MILLI song which was written by FIAZ HASHMI. The first phrase of that song is
I selected you by leaving the whole world
In this MILLI song writer has tried to explain the word choose. He said if someone choose something by leaving all other things behind then there is always some important reason to select that thing from all other things .Indirectly he has actually talked about Pakistan that our fore fathers got Pakistan by giving uncountable sacrifices and they did that for a reason. The reason was demolishing poverty and fear from Muslims through creating a separate homeland.
      SIR ARTHUR QUIN DIAL
In 1887, ARTHUR QUIN who was also knighted presented an immortal character in English literature. In this character the solution of one problem was obscured. The problem was that in British society the arcs of good and evil were flowing parallel. The solution which was present in that immortal character was
Things are not as is as we them. It is not necessary that a person who apparently seems a culprit is culprit in reality or he is the person who has done any illegal act. It is necessary to learn and develop courage enough to seek reality by observing things physically. According to that character’s ideology; if we will be able to remove impossibility from any situation then whatever will be remaining from that situation will be actual reality no matter how far away that reality is from supposition.
According to that immortal charter only those will be able to exist in near future who will develop the trait of such courage.

NAWAB MOHSIN UL MULK ABOUT DESTINATION AND HARDSHIP
He said either there are Prophets or Nations to reach at any destination Allah has set different steps/grades. Their essays become their destinations by passing through different hardships.

  42. Sir Syed Ahmed Khan flourished from 1817 to 1898. As the founder of Aligarh movement, he is ranked among the greatest Muslim reformers of the 19th century. Sir Syed Ahmed Khan was the first Muslim leader who realized the importance of education for his people . Sir Syed Ahmed khan established Muhammadan Educational Conference in 1886 in order to bring political awareness among the Muslims. The Conference held its annual conferences regularly till 1906 when in its Dhaka session All-India Muslim League was founded. Sir Syed Ahmed khan rendered political services in order to defend the rights of the Muslims.
Sir Syed founded a Patriotic Association in order to counter the anti-Muslim propaganda by the Hindus. Soon after the establishment of Indian National Congress, he came to realise that it was a purely Hindu organisation.Consequently, he asked the Muslims to desist taking part in its activities. He proposed the system of separate electorate for the Muslims in order to protect the political rights of the Muslim Community. Sir Syed was the first Muslim leader of the Sub-continent who used the word nation for the Muslims. In clear language, he pronounced that the Hindus and the Muslims were two different communities with different interests.

  44. After reading the blog i came to conclusion that the nation should be guided by some leaders as did by our true leaders Sir syed ahmad khan Allama iqbal ,decision always depends upon the nation means what they really wanted but it necessary to guide them what is good or bad for them and Fayaz Hashmi poetry hepled to do in the blog.and good decsions always done by true leaders with the vote of their nation

  45. Consultations among countries are very important as they play a great role in bringing people together
We can take example from this article where they mentioned that the annual meeting of Mahomendan educational conference played a great role in bringing the Muslims of different cities together in a single platform with a same motive

    1. After reading this blog i can easily say that only a true leader can make a true nation. Sir Sayyed Ahmed khans efforts for the upbringing of this nation are countless. He did almost everything for the Muslims of the subcontinent. He ensured their education, their interest in politics and their standard of living.
On the other hand I also concluded that poets and philosphers like Allama Muhammad Iqbal act as a milestone for the nations . Allama Iqbals poetry played an important role in creating awareness among the Muslims and he made Muslims think that who they are and from where they belong
o One more thing I must say is, that the Muslim Leagues formation was one of the best step for fighting for the rights of Muslims in the sub continent and only due to this step taken at that time , now we live in a free and happy state , The Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

        1. From this blog we conclude that the actual aim of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan was to extricate Muslim society from obscurantism and to inclucate in them the liberal and westren education along with the teaching of Islam. The Muslim political power which had been gradually decreasing were put in thier place and that is why Muslims have a still political status on thier own.We must never forget the efforts of our ambitious leaders. Now we have reached at our goal and now the aim life would be that to maintain that goal.

        2. Ayesha Shoukat_Roll no. 21
          BS(Replica) 2nd semester
After reading this blog the important point that I understood is that we should respect our nation needs and we should prioritize them. If we have a unity then we can proceed to success. And the other important point in this blog I understood is that our great leaders did their jobs to protect us and they sacrifice their lifes behind their nation. So we should respect their sacrifice and we should do some productive for our country. Sir Syed Ahmad Khan was a great leader and they did lots of work for our nation they gave us awareness about education and they prepared us for participation in political parties. Allama Iqbal one of the greatest leader that gave us the idea of our country and they wrote lots of poems and books for our nation . He prepared us for future by their poetry. In this blog I also noticed that those leaders that did lots of works for our nation is not mentioned in our books e.g. Syed Mehmood one of the great leader that sacrifice their life for our nation. So we should remember our great leaders and we should not forget their sacrifices and we should also follow them to get success for our country. This blog is very informative and it helped me to know about history.

          1. After reading this blog the important point that I understand is that without great leaders any nation cannot achieve success. Only leaders can make their nation strong and united. And because of their efforts and hardwork their nation can not only achieve success also they always remain united.By all the efforts and hardwork of our great leaders such as Quaid-e-azam, Allama Iqbal, Sir Syed ahmed Khan and many other great leaders Pakistan came into existence and they are able to spend their lives according to Islam. Sir Syed ahmed khan put stress on modern education because it is very important for muslims and without education they are not able to get good jobs. Without education it is not possible to achieve any thing .

      1. After reading this blog, I have learned that the progress of a nation is not only possible by the efforts of the leaders instead each and every individual have to do efforts for it. And it is not only possible without education. Thats why Sir Syed Ahmed Khan wanted to educate Muslims. Sir Syed Ahmed Khan, Quaid e Azam, Allama iqbal and many other leaders helped and guided Muslims to raise their voice against the violence they are facing in Subcontinen. Because of the efforts of our leaders we are living in an independent country. We should struggle for the development of our country by remembering the efforts of our leader. I

      2. I came to the conclusion after reading this blog that leaders play very important role in building a nation. As Allama Muhammad Iqbal through his poetry created awareness among Muslims and awakened them for leading a purposeful life.
